Welcome to your Club's Website.

Our Club started in October 2004 with the aim of running a friendly and lively dance class and I am delighted to say that we are still going strong.  We have 6 founder members still attending regularly – Helen, Pat, Rosie, Rita, Sylvia and Carol.

Our Monday class starts at 7pm – this is mixed ability class but all are catered for.  We use Country, Pop, Irish, Latin & Swing music.

7pm – 8.15pm          
Absolute Beginners with Carol taking beginners through the steps and teaching beginner dances more slowly.
7pm-8.15pm
Beginner / Improvers with Pete & Gill teaching latest dances and ‘old’ favourites.
8.15pm-8.30pm 
Absolute Beginners join the main class.
8.30pm-10pm
Improver/Intermediate with Gill & Pete teaching latest dances and re-capping on recent & popular dances taught.

We use the main assembly hall at Caroline Chisholm School, which is light and airy with a lovely floor – the school was opened 5 years ago and has a large car park.  

Please wear comfortable shoes and bring your own drink.

Our Wednesday class starts at 7.30pm till 10pm and is held in the Kingsthorpe Baptist Church Hall, High Street, Kingsthorpe (car parking at the rear of Waitrose Supermarket).

This class has been going for many years and Gill took it over when Annie retired from teaching (not dancing).  Many are experienced dancers so we do not run an absolute beginners class (this is held on Mondays).

Beginner, improver & intermediate dances are taught but we also keep hold of favourite dances learnt over the years.  Again, the music is Country, Pop, Irish, Latin & Swing – whatever we like!

 

The cost of each class is £3 per person for the whole night.
Both classes focus on light-hearted enjoyment with exercise thrown in !
We also visit other local clubs at monthly socials and are planning 2 weekends away this year.
